Perfume Return?

Does anybody know if Macy's or Lord & Taylor will take back (or let me exchange) unopened perfume without a receipt?

I do not know if Macy's or Lord & Taylor will - however, I do know Sephora will. Without the receipt and even opened, and used.

I've returned perfume before, I did not like after wearing for a week or two - and no longer had the receipt.

I do believe it is a store credit, though - but if you go to one inside a JCPenney's, it's a Penney's gift card.

Macy's definitely does! As long as it is unopened...no questions asked

I was able to exchange once at Macy's but they were not nice about it at all! I'm honestly not sure what their official policy is. I knew the perfume I got was purchased there, just wanted to exchange for something else. They were so rude!! Glad to know Sephora will, if it happened again I'd rather go there anyway!

Macy's will exchange without the receipt. When you don't have the receipt the store will give you the lowest price in the last 180 days. Since perfume doesn't go on sale, you should be able to exchange it with no problems. If you get any attitude about exchanging it, ask for a superviser, the sales associate is to be pleasant no matter the situation.

Just wanted to follow up on my post......

I was able to exchange the perfume at Macy's with no problem at all. I had received it as a gift so I wasn't sure where it was purchased. The sales clerk told me she could tell it wasn't purchased at a Macy's store because it didn't have their "tag" on it. However, she did not give me a problem exchanging it for something else......
