I got to thinking last night and this morning - since I placed a large order with the Bath and Body Works sale.....

I use scented body wash and lotion and then a perfume.....so do I smell like a walking scratch and sniff book or what? I never even thought about them all not mixing right....and I don't always put lotion on - I don't put on loads of perfume either....I do the spray in the air and run through it trick as well as a little on the hairbrush......

so do most people who use both use them at the same time>?

I use the same scent shower gel, lotion and spray.

I try to do this as much as possible too...

I like to use the same scent when I'm doing multiple things like shower gel, perfume, lotion. But I do mix scents all the time and I've never had anyone comment that I didn't smell good. If the mixes "go together" I don't think it matters but I guess I would think twice before mixing two very different types of scents.

If it makes you feel any better, the only time of noticed an obnoxious "good" odor it was caused by what was clearly an over indulgence of an expensive male or female perfume.

I use body wash lotion and spray too.

Well, I have a perfume with a very similar scent to B&BW sheer freesia, so sometimes I will use them together.

or the most part though, if I use shower gel and lotion, I will not wear perfume, but I might put on a squirt of body spray.
