Perfectly Princess Tea Party

Didn't you find Rosepetal's voice annoying though? We happened to be at the GF on the first week this tea was started. She had the most annoying shrilly voice I have ever heard. The CMs were covering their ears. The CM at the grill said, Do you believe anyone pays to hear that? LOL! It was pretty bad. She did look pretty though!

lcborn2run- Congratulations!!!! That is wonderful. Yes, you definatle deserve a great vacation after NS graduation. School can be hell! The trip was a great way for us to reconnect as a family. There were (I think) 25 children there at the GF. It was quite intimate compared to the other character meals. Everyone there from the servers to the characters were wonderful at making the children feel special and welcome. It didn't feel "crowded" at all, so I think your dd would enjoy it. Rosepatal's voice didn't anny me at all. Now that you mention it, I can see what you mean, but I didn't notice it at all then. The atmosphere is so magical and I thought she was just wonderful- really great at her job. I thought her singing voice was fabulous. Maybe I am just biased because dd and I had such a wonderful time there. But I would easily pay the money again.

BTW, I did post pictures on another thread called Perfectly Princess Tea Party Pictures. Enjoy!

The disneyworld site list dates available thru July 2 (stating it will be daily from May 28- July 2). Does anyone have this booked after July 2nd & is this also something you can book 90days in advance? Maybe they are waiting to see how the daily format goes before posting dates beyond July 2nd ?!?

The four of us that went, did not find Rose Petal's voice annoying at all. We were all just so enthralled with the whole event and found her to be lovely in all respects.

I am planning on taking 2 DD ( 3 &4) to the tea party. Can anyone please tell me if this is booked through PS and 90 days in advance? Also, Is it offered everyday? I am going in Oct. Thanks for any info. ::MinnieMo

I am considering taking my dd8 this July. Do you think it would be ok for an 8 year old. Would it be ok for her to wear just a really pretty dress instead of a princess costume. My husband also would love to attend with us. Ha anyone ever seen daddy's with the girls. I don't want him to feel uncomfortable. Does anyone have any of info on the tea. What types of gifts do the girls receive???

I'd say go ahead and book it - I took my DD to this in May - she is 8 and she loved it! She did not wear a princess dress but a cute sundress - actually there were quite a few girls in sundresses instead of princess dresses. There were a couple daddy's there also. My DH was with DS having lunch at Coral Reef for some dad and son time while DD and I were having mom and daughter time. The girls each get a crown and sprinkled with Rose Petals when they are announced to be seated. At the table is a doll at each girls place and a wand. They also get a special charm braclet - I knew about the bracelet before hand so I had bought DD a couple special charms to add to hers and brought them with me to give them to her there. RosePetal sings and tells stories and Aurora spends time with each girl talking, signing autograph books and posing for pictures , she presents each girl with a rose just before she leaves to go to the next girl. At the end she gives each girl a thank you card and then you go to the giftshop to get a certificate for the doll and each girl receives some special princess scrapbook paper and stickers. My DD really enjoyed this and I am glad we did this. It was one of the highlights of our trip! :flower:

Here is a link with the complete information fo the tea from Deb Willis' site:

http://www.allearsnet.com/din/girlstea.htm

I brought my two DD's princess: 6 and princess: 4) in December and felt it was worth every penny! We had the most wonderful time! The attention to detail was incredible and every girl was made to feel exactly like the special princess she is. They are served apple juice in real tea cups and taught how to "properly sip tea", they participate in story-telling, singing and dancing and get to spend some one-on-one time with Princess Aurora.

At our tea the ages varied - there were some girls that appeared to be as young as 2 and while we were waitin we were talking with two girls who were 9 and 11 (both dressed as Princess Aurora). The primary dress code was princess costumes, however there were several girls in pretty, party type dresses.

As someone posted earlier - if this falls within your budget and you are even thinking of doing it - do it! Both of my girls still talk about thier "lovely tea party with Aurora and Rose Petal".

Cheers-

reservations can be made 180 days in advance, just like for restaurants. we will be there on Friday, April 28th! It's our last full day in WDW and this is the big hurrah. My DH will be attending, since we have only girls, he's coming along to enjoy their reactions and run the cameras. A friend of mine attended last spring, they could not get into breakfast at the castle and were offered this as an alternative. She said it was worth every penny and is a must do for every princess fanatic.

so I went back and forth, because of the cost, and finally decided to go for it. can't wait to see how it all goes!

Luthien--> thanks and i must pass the compliment onto you as well gorgeous children!love the Belle dressed princess! soo cute!

My2Cinderellas--> let us know how it turns out!!

Thanks to the OP and others who have managed to answer all my questions about the Perfectly Princess Tea Party in one thread!
