Perfectly Princess Tea Party question

I've got the Tea Party booked on Christmas Eve for my 2 DDs. Originally, I thought they would wear a new princess costume I got each of them. Now, I'm changing my mind after seeing the velour Princess dresses the Disney Store is selling. They are so pretty...the color is the same rose pink of Sleeping Beauty's dress...there is an applique of Sleeping Beauty's face on the corner of the chest....the bodice has a pretty ribbon trim. Has anyone seen these dresses?

Do most of the girls wear the costumes? Do you think my girls would feel left out if they wore the velour dresses? I think the velour dresses would look so nice next to Sleeping Beauty? Can you tell I've put some thought into this? I can't ask DH's opinion on this because he'll think I'm nuts!

What would you do?

Thanks

I took my daughter to this about a year and a half ago on Mother's Day. She was 6. She wore a Cinderella dress. Most of the girls were wearing princess dresses but some were in pretty dresses. I think at Christmas time your girls would look beautiful in velour dresses. The tea party was great. Have a wonderful time!

When we went in January all but 2 little girls were dressed up. Most wore princess costumes, but some wore fancy dresses. I think the dresses you found sound perfect as long as your DDs will not be disappointed that others are wearing costumes.

I bought my daughter the rose pink velour dress from the Disney store. I think they are very pretty. My DD is 8, so she isn't into really dressing up to look like the princess but she wants to look pretty too. We are doing the Norway lunch and she is going to wear her velour dress to that. :cheer2:

Thanks everyone for your replies...I think I'll have them wear the velour dresses but I will bring the princess dresses with us just in case they feel left out! :sunny:

DD(3) and I just went on Saturday!! It was not completely full and I think only one little girl did not have on a princess dress (and I heard the mom say later that they were headed straight to the airport). I think anything is fine for the tea party: dress clothes, costumes, regular clothes. My dd had a Sleeping Beauty costume from Halloween, but wore her tennis shoes :)

It is so beautiful and fun that you won't worry about what they have on once the party starts. This was the favorite part of the whole trip for me and dd sure loved it too. The looks on the girls faces is priceless.
