Perfect Layers from QVC

I asked this question on another thread but thought I may get more replys if I posted a thread.

I have the Perfect Layer system from QVC. But I am having such a hard time getting the ridge to stay up againist either my picture or paper. It just does not catch the lip or it moves.

Im really fustrated. I have had this for a year now, put it away but took it out again after reading about it again.

I want to use this so bad !!!!

Does anyone have any ideas or tricks for me ?

I have the same problem, too. But I've found it easier to use with thicker paper/cardstock (as the upper layer). Also, if you kind of lift the top layer a bit when you put the "ruler" up against it, it really helps to catch it. Does that make sense?

I have no problem with heavy cardstock and the second layer, but have to lift up the lift on paper. Another tip I have heard as far as cutting is to use a rotary cutter ( like for sewing ). I may try this. They also say a glass mat is better than the regular mat. But I haven't had any problems with my mat.
