Digitalis-Also called Foxglove, these are tall perennials, actually biennials (foliage the first year, flower the second) 24-50 inches. In my area they just do not come back successfully, the flower depletes the plant too much. They will however reseed. The following year there will be little plants growing everywhere. These reseeeded plants will not produce flowers until the following year.
I just put in new plants every year. That assures there will always be Foxgloves blooming. They should be planted in ordinary soil on the moist side, sun or semi-shade. Foxgloves are lovely flowers that bloom in the early summer. These tall graceful flowers swaying in the summer breezes are such a beautiful sight.
