I love the Perdue "chicken in a bag". For those of you who might not have seen these before, here's a pic:
Anyway, I'm going to cook this for dinner tomorrow night, but instead of cooking it in the oven and heating up the entire kitchen, I was thinking of cooking it in the crockpot. I'm not a big crockpot user... Have any of you ever cooked this type of chicken in a crockpot instead of in the oven the way it was prepared to be cooked? I imagine that it's basically just a regular chicken that has been seasoned and sealed into a roasting bag, but I'm not sure.
If I were to cook it in the crockpot, how long would I cook it for?? I know I can call Perdue to ask them, but they're closed until Monday.
P.S. I've NEVER cooked a whole chicken in the crockpot before... any basic tips? How long to cook? Etc.. thanks
