Does anyone know if they sell Pepsi products at the shops in MCO? We're going to be flying down in November and my mom loves some Diet Mtn. Dew, but we would only need a couple of bottles of it since we would only be there for two nights............I just thought that if they had it at MCO we could pick some up on the way to ME. We won't be using the towncar service this trip, so that's not an option. Worst case scenario is that I could ship some to our hotel. Thanks!:thumbsup2

Hi,
I can't give you a definitive answer.. but I remember dh commenting about how WDW is all Pepsi and MCO is all Coca Cola.
They sell Mountain Dew in the parks... I know this because I just discovered a love for it this last trip... not sure about the diet option though.

Really? I've never seen a Pepsi product in a Disney park when I've been. Did they just switch to Pepsi? Does anyone know? :confused3

Maybe I'm going mad... but I definately had mountain dew... it has to be there.. because you can't get it in the UK... or am I wrong and we had it in the airport and not in disney.... hey it's late here in the UK... at least that's my excuse if I've got it upside down...

Actually, WDW sells only Coca Cola products. Even the bottled water is Dasani (a Coca Cola product).

MCO has various concessions, and those concessions sell various products. However, I don't know if there's a place to buy cans or bottles of Diet Mountain Dew.

D'oh... Sorry to feed you such bad information...

Disney is Cokes largest single contract. Ypu won't find any other drink product in any of the parks or resorts. I'm a Dr. Pepper fan and the first time we went back in 86' I almost died from lack of Dr. Pepper.

Don't feel bad!! :goodvibes I thought that I might be going crazy.......not that I'm not already from having a 2 year old! :rotfl: Maybe this means that you drank your Mountain Dew at MCO.........hmmmmmmmmmm.

I'm 95% certain that I saw single bottles of Pepsi products at, for lack of the real name of the store, the "Magazine" outlet on "B" side near gates 30-59 on Friday 2/9. I know that the cafe located next to the magazine store has Pepsi fountain product, but the breakfast sandwich was horrid. Never again.

Wow I'm impressed with your observational skills... maybe you can teach me!!

Well, since I'm not going until November, if anyone will be at MCO before that time that wouldn't mind scoping out the Pepsi situation (specifically Diet Mtn. Dew) for me, I would greatly appreciate it! :thumbsup2

I notice what a lot of people consider "weird" stuff, because I'm in the food business. I notice more marketing and placement stuff than "normal" people. My ex-wife used to look at me funny when I wanted to go into all the grocery stores when we went on vacation somewhere to look at different formats. Glad I could (sorta) help!

Don't feel funny about that. I work in the mall business, and dated a mall manager (he's now in the restaurant industry), but being in the mall business you definitely pay attention to how properties are maintained, and he didn't leave that at home when we were on vacation, but that was ok because I enjoyed it too!

BTW, if anyone does decide to check out the Diet Mountain Dew situation for me, I will be flying Southwest which is at gates 100-129. Either in that area or in the main terminal building would be great! I found the store numbers on the MCO site, but the numbers don't allow incoming calls. I'm sure they're way too busy to deal with those!

We always stay at the Hyatt before and/or after our WDW trips. The only place my (Dew addicted) DH could find Mt. Dew products was the vending machines inside the Hyatt. We never found any inside the main terminal but things could change I guess.
You could always use Garden Grocer or another company to deliver Diet Mt. Dew and any other snacks you may need. Just another option for ya'. Good luck!

Great idea. Maybe you could be a bit more aggressive. Find a thread about a Diser who is using Southwest. Shoot them a PM saying "when are you going? can you do me a huge favor???!" I'm sure they would be glad to help.

All I've ever seen in MCO is Coke products, drives me crazy considering I'm a Pepsi drinker (and we almost always fly SW).

Thanks to all that have replied other than the unwelcomed sarcasm from Figmentguy. Nobody has to reply to this thread, and I have done favors for others DISer's, so what's wrong with my asking someone if they happen to notice it while they're in a gift shop anyway? Thank goodness most DISer's don't act like this. Obviously you need a little pixie dust sent your way. pixiedust:

What do you mean by the "thank goodnes most DISer's dont act like this"? I wasn't trying to be sacastic. Really.
I'm sorry you had read it to sound negative. I was just honestly saying that somoene may not notice your post and that sometimes you just have to request someones attention. I'm sorry that I upset you. I was trying to give you advice so that you could for sure have your questioned answered. Now I feel bad for trying to assit you. I think I really do need some pixie dust.
