Pepper Market trial buffet?

I have read rumors that after the trial it will take a TS credit.. I hope not! we booked in May with the quick service plan.. we ahve always felt that CSR is too pricey to eat at unless you are on a dining plan.
the regular ddp is just too expensive.. we are actually hoping for free dining, but, if not, we purchased the quick service.

with the ddp , the cs credits are well worth it, esp. at the grill station!

Currently, Pepper Market is listed on the 2012 DDP brochure as a quick service location. I guess that is subject to change until January 1, but Disney has currently kept PM as a CS location for 2012.

Can you get the buffet "to go"? And eat it in our room.

You cannot get the buffet to go. I think To Go is still offered during dinner, which is a la carte.

Ok, its CS but a buffet. Does my 5 year old on the DDP have to get kid choices or can he can whatever, just like any WDW buffet?

As far as I know, he will be able to get anything that is served. I haven't seen that specific question addressed, but the main signage at PM lists the prices for adults and kids, then lists the menu items per station. While there is still a "Just For Kids" station, I haven't seen or read anyone saying their kids couldn't order from the other stations.

I just looked into this more so I can understand, as I hope to stay at CSR again soon. From what I read, the breakfast & lunch trial buffet is all you can eat but you still order from the stations. So not a traditional buffet, but no limitations to what you can order. I'll be interested to see what happens after the trial period is up first week of January.

I hope it goes on past the trial period. DH can put away some food (high metabolism - lucky guy!) and it would be a fun place to eat for us all.

Will CSR have any QS dining plan options for 2012? It's not listed in the brochure.

Definitely not. I was there the weekend it changed and was not happy. The Pepper Market has a really good fresh fruit plate. The CM's really fill that to go box packed full. It's easily enough for lunch, a late night snack, and breakfast the next morning. I ordered it to go (like I usually do) on Sat 12/03 and ate it for lunch by the Cabanas quiet pool, while I was reading a book. The very next day (Sun 12/04) I tried to walk in to order it again and was told that they were no longer doing take out orders for breakfast or lunch. I had just gotten it 24 hours before.:headache: I could get the fruit plate but would have had to pay the full buffet price to get it and would have had to eaten it there. Since I pay OOP I'm hoping the buffet goes away after the trial. I did let the CM at the Pepper Market check in desk know I wasn't happy about it. I was polite, but walked out without eating.

Pepper Market is listed on the new 2012 brochure as a CS. Cafe Rix right next door is also a CS.:confused3

A new DDP brochure came out recently with new additions. Both Pepper Market and Cafe Rix are QS. Since they are not Disney run, they take some time to sign on to the dining plan each year which is why some of the earlier 2012 brochures may not show them.

This is our favorite place to eat and we are happy to pay OOP. Not sure how I feel about the changes. Guess we'll find out.
