What are the hours for breakfast and lunch?

Does it get crowded for breakfast, how about around 8am?

Can you still get your food to take outside and eat on the patio?

Do you have to tip a server for drinks even though its buffet, or do you get your own drinks?

Have not been there for breakfast, only lunch. All of the same stations are there as before but many new items available as well as the old. You can keep going back to any of the stations as its all you can eat. Servers still bring you drinks and clear dishes. Up to you if you wish to tip, not required.

We went to Pepper market a week ago for both breakfast and lunch. There was a 10 minute wait at 9:00 for breakfast but none at lunch. We had a waitress both times who got our drinks and cleared plates since it is a buffet now. I dont think you would be able to go out of the restraunt now with it bieng a buffet. It is up to tip but the server does clear your table and get your drinks. So I dont see how that is much different from any sit down place.

As the PPs have said, breakfast and lunch are now buffets and the servers assist you as they would at any other buffet on property - getting drinks, clearing dishes, etc. I would tip as you do for any other buffet.

Dinner is still a la carte. There is a 10% surcharge (sometimes not charged if you are on the DDP - it seems to vary) because the server does get and refill your drinks, seat you at a table, etc. You can avoid the surcharge at dinner by taking your food to go - there are several tables outside if you want to eat outside. For me, it is worth 10% to not have to search for a table with a tray full of food and drinks, to have real silverware instead of plastic, and to have someone get refills for us.

Breakfast can be crowded at times if there is a convention going on. Lunch would generally be less crowded since people are either at the parks or at the convention center.

Breakfast is 7-11, lunch is 11:30-2, and dinner is 4:30 to 11.

Do you think it is worth a midday trip ( inbetween parks ) for a CS credit buffet?

We did this last trip so for us it was certainly worth it. We got for 8-10 days so are never rushed and always have the time to relax and head somewhere for lunch. There are many great CS places not in the parks, such as POR, Wolf Gangs at DTD etc.

It depends how much time you want to spend. Even when we don't stay at CSR, we like to go there to eat and walk around. It is our favorite moderate resort, and we like the theming and the food at the Pepper Market. If you are using Disney transportation, it is easy to get from the parks to/from CSR, but hard to get from a resort to/from CSR.

If you are coming from and go back to a park, it is a pretty easy trip, and there is a bus stop right outside El Centro. If you are coming from/going to a resort, you would have to transfer buses at a park. Either way, I'd allow a couple of hours for the transport and eating - it just depends if you want to take the time. The buffet is a good value DDP/money-wise, but it will eat up some time coming and going unless you have a car or are going back to a park.

Would the buffet for BF or lunch at the pepper market be a QS credit off the dining plan? or is it TS credit??? anyone know? :confused3
