Hi

I'm due to visit CSR in June and was wondering what people think of the Pepper Market, what choices are there etc? I've not been to CSR since 2009 and I've read it's now a standard quick service restaurant and that the Mexican station has gone etc. Is this correct?

We were there in November and enjoyed everything. They still had the Mexican station (ie nachos, echilladas, and burritos). We were on the disney dining plan & were able to get a regular entree meal in lieu of the kids meal. They also had a grill station, sandwiches, salad and desserts

Do they still do the cards where you pay at the end of the meal?

We were just there and ate lunch on the dining plan on our arrival day. I was at the burger station which had a pretty long line and took a little bit - but not too long. One DS had ribs which was the shortest line and he said they were pretty good. The other DS had tacos which he said were just OK - his line took about the same as the burger line. My DH and I shared a huge burger which was very good. All in all, we were pleased with the variety of choices and quality of the meals for QS.

As far as paying, we had a slip that they gave us and then just told the cashier we were on the dining plan. One DS went through on his own since he had his food before us. The other DS and I went through together. Grabbed bottled of waters for later since the meal included drinks but we had our refillable mugs that we could use for ice tea and pop/soda.

We visited CSR after a morning of mini-golf this past November just to try something new for lunch-- and thought the food court was awesome! I had the empanadas from the Mexican station. Others in our party had the rotisserie chicken and a steak sandwich. All was tasty! My only complaint is that the lines moved pretty slowly... It almost seemed understaffed at the serving counters.

Always make it here for lunch during our stays. The food is good and well priced. Usually a very relaxed lunch.

The Mexican station you remember in the center of the restaurant is gone, but you can still get some of the Mexican entrees at other stations, sadly not all of them survived. No more stamped cards, you just order at each station and pay at the row of cashiers before finding a seat. They've moved the cashiers from the end by the Rix Lounge to the center part of the restaurant between the order stations and the seating area. No more tipping either!

The food is still good, even if the lines are sometimes a little long. The crab cake sandwich at the grill station is good if you like crab, ribs are pretty good too.

What a good idea! I don't know why this hadn't occurred to me. I was kind of puzzling over the overlap of the refillable mugs and the included beverage with our dining plan. You showed me the light! LOL! Thanks!

When we went in 2010, we absolutely loved the way PM was setup....Way better than any food court....And soo much faster to get your food & eat it, rather than your traditional Food court type.... But I heard they have since changed this alil... no more servers to have your drinks ready, and now, you don't pay at the end of your meal like it used to.....The food was never an issue, before, at least I Don't think so.
