Cooking Peppadew Pepper Sauce at Jiko

While we were at WDW we ate at Jiko and had a lovely sauce made from Peppadew Peppers, I asked the server what it was and was told that it was peppadews blended with olive oil and lemon juice and oil from the jar. But I am unable to duplicate it and was hoping someone here might have better information.

Are you sure what you used was actually packed in oil? The ones where I work are packed in syrup.

yes you are right, it is a syrup.. But the waiter told me to add olive oil and lemon juice...

I'd bet he's leaving something out. Or maybe they're using a very particular olive oil that has a certain flavor? You know, very olive-y vs fruity vs floral vs normal?

I guessing that something is missing, it is just not "right" but have no idea what "it" is.

It was the steak flatbread.

Try extra virgin rather than regular, or maybe you need a different country (e.g. spanish not greek )

I am not an olive oil expert, does it really change the taste that much?

Apparently Look at the labels on bottles, see if any of the descriptions make you think of the dish - fruity? peppery? Grassy? etc.

Not really, it depends on how busy they are. I've gotten answers with a week an other times it can take months.
