I am so confused! Maybe I am wrong, but I thought Peter could only contain one power at a time? If he touches Nathan he can fly, but then if he touches Claire, he can't die, but he can no longer fly?

Monday nights episode, he still had the boy's healing powers from the week before. He was playing God during a commuter train accident. At one point, he saw the deaf woman (don't know her name off the top of my head) and he touched her shoulder. OK, so shouldn't that have made it that he can now see color and not heal people? He touched her again later on, and he even said to her "I don't have that power anymore" when she asked if he could see what she saw.

Am I confused, or are we viewers supposed to ignore these little bloopers?

I think in order for Peter to get someone's ability he has to concentrate and really want it. I don't think he can get it by just touching someone. I do wonder though why he doesn't heal the deaf woman.

I would say that also, if it wasn't for the fact that Peter has accidentally aquired someone's ability by touch. Waaaay back, he was saving Claire before he knew she had powers. She was falling from a rooftop(?) He flew up to catch her, when he caught her, he lost his ability to fly and they both fell.

Am I remembering this correctly? I think he also hugged his father and was surprised at his father's ability. (when he had it)

I think it is one of those OOPS times. Kind of like when you are watching a program shot from one angle and the glass is only a 1/3 full and the woman's hair is behind her shoulders and they switch angles and suddenly she has a full drink and her hair is over the front of her shoulders.

He probably was not supposed to touch her but he did while he was acting and it slipped through the continuity department.

:)

Well last week, Sylar turned back into Nathan and flew away. Except...THAT isn't Nathan. It's Sylar using a stolen power to LOOK like Nathan and therefore he should not be able to fly like Nathan. I do not recall Sylar ever stealing Nathan's flying power.

Someone correct me if I am wrong. DH seems to think I am.

OK, I noticed that too, but Sylar has so many powers now, I can't keep track.

The whole Nathan/Sylar thing is confusing me. I just hate when the writers think we won't notice these little things. It is a huge pet peeve of mine, because I pick up on everything that is out of sync with what has happened.

I'm about to completely give up on this show. I'm so confused!

Peter's powers are continually retconned. We've given up on trying to figure out what his abilities/limitations are as they appear to be "whatever is necessary to advance the plot at that moment".
