People queueing 4-5 hours to meet Anna and Elsa

In WDW, queues were up to 7-8 hours when they were first introduced. They soon introduced FP for them. However, from what I gather, if you go in high season, unless you are staying on site, you have little chance of getting a FP for them as onsiters get to choose their FPs first.

Wouldn't it be great if for once DLRP did something really great for onsiters and say put them in EMH for a few mornings a week/on weekends perhaps?

I just told my two girls we will see them in Florida in the summer - fingers crossed :worship:.

The post on TA said they were showing Frozen extracts on those screens rather than the official photos.
Also said Disney were trying to recruit more actresses, but I don't know why they didn't foresee the demand and have more in place to begin with.

There are 2 pairs at present working and tbc could be up to 5 pairs in all.

Dlp have just addd an Urgent casting to the job section of the site but had started looking back in September for 10 people.

Apparently the queue for the Merida m&g was 2h45 when it opened this pm so it's not just the Frozen ones that are a success

From what I read it is 2 pairs taking turns - not meeting simultaneously. Of course that is just hearsay. Just think this was all pretty predictable yet Disney seem to be caught unawares. Not very savvy of them.

It's always like this - when it comes to spending money and doing things properly from the start they seem incapable.:sad2:

My sister will want to meet them in December but should get a Priority pass so hopefully queuing will be minimal.

I just don't get why they can have several Mickey Mouses in his M&G house but only 1 pair of Anna and Elsa. The princess actresses can multi task - we had the same actress as Belle and then Ariel on consecutive days last year - just dress more of them as the Arendelle sisters. :confused3

Even with a priority card the wait is still pretty long.
It was over an hour this past weekend.

And Mickey is in separate rooms, which are closed by a door.
The 2 rooms in the Pavillion are open and right next to eachother.
If a kid sees this, there is trouble. So they can't.

In October we queued for 2 hours on a weekday for the Princess Pavilion, and we joined the queue during EMH at around 9:15 am.

In the summer when the ticketing system was in operation, I joined the queue at around 9:50 am and I received my return ticket at around 10.40am for a visit between 11:45 to 12:15.

So my advice is get there nice early and queue up during EMH for tickets to see Anna and Elsa.

That won't do you any good, with the royal sisters.
Don't forget that you can't compare them to the "regular" princesses.
Anna & Elsa are waaaaay more popular!
Yesterday at exactly 10:00am there was already a 3 hour queue.
You really have to get into the park by exactly 08:00 and run to the Princess Pavillion if you want to be the first (or at least one of the first) the enter the Pavillion when it opens.
However, it doesn't open until 10:45 which means you still have to wait for nearly 3 hours.

It always amazes me that people will wait this long - I'd hate to lose that much park time for two minutes with a character. We've queued at the pavilion once - it was hot and uncomfortable (in November!) and by the time we met Ariel my ds had lost interest and barely said hello to her and posed for a photo before asking to leave!

:scared1:

This is a no go for me.

My daughters really like Frozen and Anna & Elsa but even they would never wait 4 hours for a meeting. :rotfl2:

Thats far too long for waiting and I´m not in the park only for one meet & greet.

But on the other hand I do not know how Disney will arrange this in a better way.

If there is a demand for such a meeting they will do it.

:wizard:

There are 2 sets working at the same time - I saw photo's taken yesterday of 2 clearly different sets. However the CM's can only work 40 or 45 mins and then need a 15 minute break so it is a bit staggered. The screens are out at the end so enable them to have extra sets without problem. I guess it is just very difficult casting the roll?:confused3

I have read that the appointment system is coming into place later this week so that will help a bit and of course during term time it should be a bit quieter. The average wait may be 1.5 hours but we have been in and out in under 40 mins when we have been off-peak so I still think the queue will be less if you are there at a quieter time. We have only yet seen the queue times over weekend and effectivley on a bank holiday so a bit skewed I think.

We are really hoping to be able to see them next week, I will be queueing from around 9 or 9.30 during emh so we will see how that goes.

When I first saw the wait time I thought someone was making a joke. I mean - how can you believe that people would actually queue for 5 hours???? That's just absurd. No character is worth waiting 5 hours. I just don't get it. On other hand - I'm so happy to have boys who don't care about princesses.

I queued for Rapunzel. That's it.

I have never expected us to just walk straight in with the Priority pass - hopefully the wait will be less than an hour once the ticketing system is in place but as long as she can wait somewhere warm and sheltered she should manage. At lease she will have her wheelchair to sit it - I'll be the one with sore feet. :rotfl2:

Of course they could. Screens would work or there are other places they could use - they could even borrow Mickey's building. It sounds perfect. ;-)
