Someone has started a blog, much like People of Walmart except it is pictures of folks in Disney Parks..

Pretty funny but at the same time some aren't funny, I can see it being very controversial.

http://www.peopleofthepark.com/

and nope I haven't seen anyone I know on there yet

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Some of those are hilarious (and some are kinda mean)!
I had no idea this site was out there, and I'm totally hooked on People of Wal-Mart.

We always see perfect candidates for this site when we're in the parks. :3dglasses

Thanks for this- it's funny. Some are really, really funny- others are a little mean, but i guess different people find different things funny :)

I have a few that I could submit, but that's just mean, especially since one of those people could be a Diser. Actually, that's just mean no matter what.

It is the nature of the internet that things go public that should not.

I did look. But it was like slowing down to look at a car wreck. You know you should not be looking.

I hope they are not pictures of you, me, or anyone we know.

I hope if a person sees themselves on the site, they can ask to have it taken off.

I looked at peopleofwalmart a few months ago and was thanking the dear Lord that I wasn't on there.

But there's a good chance I could show up on this one. :sad2:

Please God, don't ever let that happen.

I guess I can only imagine how I would feel if my photo were on this website.

I'd be hurt and angry.

Also....I dont have any respect for anyone that would do this anonymously.

If you're going to make fun of people....at least have the spine (not the word I wanted) to use your real name and post your photo in your comments......otherwise I think you're just a mean coward.

I apologize for being the bad sport....but I dont see the humor here.

I think that the people who post there, and laugh at the pictures, should take a good, hard look at themselves, and imagine how they'd feel if someone took pics of them and posted them somewhere with the intent to make them a laughingstock.

I'm tempted to try and get on that page the next time I am in the parks. I might have to make a trip to the Salvation Army to try and find a leisure suit and some moon boots.

I'm usually the first to laugh at myself, I guess I don't really mind if other people do.

I don't care if people laugh at me...I get p.o.'d at people poking fun at children, and disabled guests, and those who have a different cultural norm.

You will see me in a muumuu one day on that site, I'll guess.

some of them are quite mean. Its only a matter of time until someone from here is on that site, and that wont be fun for them. Its not even an original Idea, so lame. i guess some people are SO bored they have nothing better to do at all to make fun of random strangers behind their backs... must be REAL nice people behind this website...

I agree Kevin! I have never liked these sites, not only are they mean spirited for being nasty to those different from you (I thought we left that behaviour at elementary school!), but it is also making a big fuss over nothing.

THESE PEOPLE ARE ON HOLIDAY!!! They are not putting themselves out there for the world to judge! If I look back at my 2005 holiday photos, I cringe at what I was wearing. You know why? I had absolutely no body confidence. The idea that in the time of my vulnerability that people would be taking photos for nothing more than their own sick amusement just baffles me. Plus I come from a country where the fashions are not the same as in the US, does this make me wrong?!? Does this make me the subject of ridicule?!? I don't have many 'hot weather' items of clothing, as it rarely gets that hot here. I don't have a massive Florida only wardrobe these people seem to expect.

Seriously, I wouldn't put up with this behaviour from the kids I work with in real life, let alone with the anonymity of the internet. These people need to grow up and realise that what is on the outside of someone's bodies is transient, it changes every day. Yet the heart inside a person is what counts, that is permanent!

Plus I don't even understand some of them! Yes sometimes jeans ride down. Yes sometimes people dress differently because of their beliefs. Yes sometimes you have one of those days where a tracksuit is all you want to wear. SO WHAT?!?! How does that effect you? Start looking at your own behaviour before you start judging others!

I am sorry if this rant upsets you, but that site has upset me!!

Well, the difference b/t the two websites is nuance. The people of People of Walmart are so OVER THE TOP that you can't help but laugh.

People of the Park are closer to the types of people we see every day, therefore making it a little more uncomfortable to laugh. The pink swimsuit one on the first page did get me, though.

I have to admit, I've been to parks looking like I'm watching Oprah, though. :scared1:

I'm sorry, but these kind of things really bother me. I know, I should "lighten up" and "let people have their fun". But I think these things are designed to be hurtful and mean.

Why do we get so much joy out of making fun of other people? Are we really all that insecure that we have to poke fun at others in order to feel better about ourselves? :confused3

Honestly, this site just wasn't that funny. A lot of the people that are being mocked don't really deserve it. As others have mentioned, these people are on vacation. I dress for comfort when in the parks and don't really care what people think of how I look. If I did happen to see someone taking a picture of me (or my children!), I might have to confront them and ask what's up.

Kevin- I could not agree with you more. This turns my stomach. I can laugh at myself (and often do) but to have someone purposefully take my picture and then post it for the world to ridicule is just pathetic and cruel.

I fully admit I am fat, and think it is hysterical when people call me that, like I don't already know, but to be ridiculed for it? I wear my addiction out in the open, it is who I am. Why is it acceptable and even venerated to see it in this way?
