DS is working on a school project. We've tried to find the following info. about Missouri but come up empty. Can you help!? Thanks in advance!

I lived in Missouri for almost 40 years and I have no idea. I didn't know Missouri had a state muffin!

Oh come on, no state has a state muffin. Official steak is the KC strip.

I did some digging and even Wikipedia doesn't have any listings for Missouri for those items (and the Wiki knows it all! )

Most other states have adopted milk as their beverage, except Wisconsin. They have milk and BEER! I always knew I liked that state. Heck, St. Louis has the Anheuser Busch brewery, and the baseball stadium gets 8 bucks for a large beer........so I'd say beer should be in the running for Missouri as well! (I know, I can shut up now, I didn't answer any of your questions. Sorry.)

I personally think that the state beverage is anything from Anheuser-Busch but maybe that is just because I am from St Louis.

I also thought some of the information he had to look up was a bit insane! I mean, state muffin? I guess NY has one -- the apple muffin. Go figure. I am just going to have him write "No information available" on the lines where there's no info.

How ridiculous is this project that they want to know the state muffin and beverage!?!? Give me a break!!!!

Stop the Presses...I found the Missouri gemstone.

Mozarkite is the Missouri state gemstone. It is found in the Lincoln vicinity in west-central Missouri. It is a brightly colored agate flint rock which is becoming popular in jewelry making. The stones are usually fashioned into cabochon cuts.
