People Down There/Just Getting Back: Weather

Our local weather people (here in Pa) just put this photo out of the latest temperature anomaly forecast for Christmas morning from the GFS ensemble mean (GEFS). ie It's going to be 10-15 degrees (Celcius) ABOVE averages for the whole eastern half of the country. I know things can, and do, change, but I would be prepared for warm temperatures in Fl.

They focus on Eastern Pa/NJ weather with only the occasional national weather patterns, but if you are interested anyhow, it's from the facebook page of "Eastern PA Weather Authority".

We will be there for Christmas also & it looks like it's going to cool off quite a bit so I'm planning on packing short sleeves, jeans, fleece with a couple long sleeves in case I need a little more warmth. We were there 2 Christmases ago and it was FREEZING at night and morning. Layers is the key. I'm packing for 72 high and 55 low if the outlook stays the same which I know it can change.

I head over to orlando on 19th feb and i am SOOO hoping the weather has settled and cooled down a lot! Im from australia and we are in our gross hot summer right now, i really wanted to holiday in a cooler temp (one of the reasons we choose mid jan), do they usually drop after christmas??? Fingers crossed!

Unfortunately it's FL so it doesn't really cool down a lot. Not when the temps are normal at least. They can get abnormal cold temps but those can't be counted on. Temps in the 60's is likely the best you can hope for but more than likely they will be in the 70's. Night time temps may reach what can be called cool

I live in Florida and they said this has been the warmest year in Florida history. We are looking at maybe getting into the mid 50s at night towards the end of the week. When you nice Northern folk come down can you bring some of that cold weather. Its December 14th and it was 87 degrees today lol. Really shouldn't be sweating in December

Not sure we have any cold weather to bring. It was in the 60s here in Detroit today, and I was a little too warm in a sweater and dress pants. I'm so glad I left my sandals out for the trip because I've been wearing them here at home for the last week!

Yeah.. woke up to 60-degree weather here in NY. It's windy, but I keep looking at my parents saying "Disney weather." It's a running joke that won't get old until we're sweating in 85-degree weather in 2 weeks.

We were there 12/9-12/12 and it was beautiful! In the days we wore shorts and lightweight tees, and stored hoodies in a locker for at night. I wore a lightweight sweatshirt/hoodie each night but I get cold very easily. My boyfriend was fine in his shorts and tees still into the night. We both packed heavier jackets and long jeans and shirts but never once took them out. At night I saw most people either still in tees, or in lightweight long sleeve tops. On 12/12 it was so hot we were actually sweating like you would in July! I would still pack some layers and be prepared, but don't overpack too much on the heavier items. Even though I get cold easily, I wore flip flops the whole time and never had cold toes!

It has been unseasonably warm here in Buffalo, New York and I love it. After the last two winters we need a break. Heading down late next month and I am hoping for nice weather.
