Pentax k100d lens question

I have a very basic question that I feel silly asking! But
I have some old manual lens from a Minolta camera and a Promaster zoom that is now on a film Canon camera. Can I use either of these lens on my Pentax k100d?

I'm thinking that I can't but wanted to make sure.

No. The mounts are different, and I doubt there are any adapters made that would allow you to use the M or C lenses on the P camera.

There are adapters to use M42 (aka Pentax screw-mount aka universal screw-mount) and Pentax medium-format lenses. There are also adapters to use Pentacon (medium-format) lenses on an M42 system, and you can use that plus the M42 adapter to mount those lenses. There may be one or two more that are out there that I'm not aware of, but I think those are it.

I believe that the other "big name" mounts are physically larger, so there aren't adapters out there. I believe that the current Canon mount is the largest, so there are lot of adapters for other types of lenses for it, but several have focusing issues (can't focus to infinity) because the lens will hit the inside of the camera.
