Penny Press Machines???

How much does it cost to make a pressed penny/quarter? Also, what is the best way to clean your pennies? Thanks!!

I believe it is $0.51 to make a pressed penny. I like to use tabasco sauce to make the pennies very shiny but I wouldnt reccomend cleaning them until after they are pressed as they will just tarnish in the machine etc. I have mine in a pressed penny book and they make pretty unique disney souviners!!!

MOST of the penny machines are $0.51.

There are two machines at DQ gift shop. One is $0.51 and another is $1.01.

The penny machines at SOG are $0.76.

The penny machines are $.51 and the quarter machines are $1.25 ($1 + the $.25 your pressing). I cleaned my pennies with a mixture of vinagar and salt before I left. Make sure you rinse the pennies well after you clean them! The pennies made after 1982 contain both copper and zinc and can leave a smear of silver color. We searched through our pennies before we left and pulled out old ones and shined them up. I like the image on the face side because it seems clearer to me. In most of the machines, if you put the face side to the right that will get the press on the face. My girls loved collecting these! I figured it up later that we spent about $60 on the pressed coins! It adds up fast!
