penne with vodka sauced

So my daughter wanted penne with vodka sauce. i found a recipe on food network. It uses a cup of vodka.Which I kinda thought was a lot.
So I am cooking away,and i taste the sauce and its pretty strong I put a little more cream in and decide I better taste it again. After the seventh taste I realize that I am not really tasting the suause as much I am downing it.

Well I sip two more times and figure I will throw in the cheese. Well it splashes and cathes fire. I try to blow it out but that doesn't really work. I think about taking another sip, but even i have my limitations. So I stumble out of the house carrying my fireball in a pot. A I run down the the stoop a little splashes on the banister and spreads like napalm. I blow out.Neihbors watching me of course just looking at me perplexed. I mkae sure everything is all extinguesed take a sip of the sause and pour the rest on the penne. Wife and kids loved it.

I am getting a little hungry again, thinking about making Bananas foster for desert!!!

LOL! Not sure if this story is completely true or a little embellished, but I like it. I LOVE me some pasta with vodka sauce. Pioneer Woman has the best recipe on her site!
