Definitely head to the boardwalk and enjoy the game at the ESPN Club. Just get there early to make sure you get in before the game starts. My b/f goes to PSU!!! WE ARE...
ESPN Zone would be good, but it will get very crowded so be there early. If you dont want to go to the boardwalt, pretty much any bar with a tv will have it on as it is a premier prime time game.
wooo hooo go penn state - we are alumni Great question, we were at Disney last year for the PSU-Michigan state game. DO not go to espn zone unless you plan on being there before it opens!!!! we are a family of 5 and got to the zone an hour or so before game time and it was packed. we could not find a seat - those doggone ohio state fans had gotten there first and the ohio state/michigan game was on we asked around to see if anyone would be leaving, but they were all planning on staying and watching football/eating most of the day. the place was elbow to elbow. there was also a line at the door if you are going with adults, and do not mind standing or get there before the sun comes up, you will be fine. otherwise, look for another place to watch the game.
we will be at the michigan game this weekend, and we will be in orlando during the indiana and michigan state games. in November.
Good luck with getting into the ESPN Club. That is a Saturday night game. The game starts at 8:00 and getting there at 4:00 might be OK. The game is being televised either on ABC, ESPN, or ESPN2, all of which are available on the Disney resort room TVs.
Would love to watch it at the ESPN club but will be watching in the comfort of our living room. I'd say there will be a "sellout" crowd at ESPN.
Been a PS fan for many years.
1) Send wife & children to park of their choice.
2) Drive to Publix; purchase case of ice cold beer.
3) Stay in resort and relax while watching game (cheering for PSU, of course).
Another Penn Stater here.........DH is an alumni and also adjunct faculty at a branch campus; oldest son is an alumni; and youngest son is currently 3rd semester at branch.....heading to Main next fall......we'll be at WDW from 1/2 thru 1/11 (semester break).......they're already talking about the possibility of getting to Miami on Jan 8th.....since we'll already be in Florida!!!!!!
I think the ESPN Club will be a great place to watch the game even if it is crowded. If you listen carefully, you will be able to hear me cheering all the way from Texas.
We are huge fans as well (all the way out here in Oregon). My hubby and ALL his family went to PSU. My husband took my son to the Notre Dame game last year for his 13th bday. He had never been to State College before.... what an experience!
