Pen/Sharpie Recommendation for Autographs?

What pen/sharpie would you recommend for character autographs? The boys have the autograph books with the flip photo holders on the one side, and the pad for autographs on the other.

I know that the gloved characters will need a big and/or thick pen to do the autographs. When we went a few years ago hubby got this HUGE ballpoint clicky pen at a WalGreens or something off property. The characters just ranted and raved over this pen! But in looking back, the autographs aren't very bold/standout on the page (but it was a blue Mickey notebook page).

So, what pen or sharpie do you recommend? I see that a lot of the clicky sharpies come in fine tip, but some come in "bold tip". What do you think of these? Also, any particular fun colors that hold up well??

Thanks!!! :worship:

We used a fine tip (which is what I call the "normal" tip) clicky sharpie, and it worked out fine! The characters love the clicky pens, because they don't have to fumble with tops.

We haven't tried a sharpie as of yet. I'm not sure if it would bleed through the page?
We always use the big, thick, click "Mickey" pen that they sell on property with the autograph books. It's a blue pen and the click part is "Mickey's" head. It's always worked well for us. The characters like it, the ink shows up perfectly and we have a souvenior when we get home. :thumbsup2
We still have autograph books from eleven years ago that look like they were just signed.
I hope that helps in some way. :goodvibes

We took one of the big thick Sharpie pens. I just always had DS make sure the cap was off and it was ready to use when he walked up. It didn't bleed through the pages or anything.

I know if I had a big, fuzzy paw (glove), I would like a big marker to have something to grab onto, but the other thing is that you have to press harder for a ballpoint pen, making markers easier. On the other hand (pun intended) I have seen the "fuzzies" (like Tigger and Piglet) work well with all sorts of pens and markers.

I'm too afriad to give DD a sharpie. I'm worried that in her excitement she'll either get it on her or some other child's clothing

Green.

Green is the only color that will not come out with a bit of rubbing alcohol.

CRAP!!! The two-packs that I bought have blue and green in them!! Looks like I am making a run to get another color...

Thanks!

This is also our Pen of Choice. Has worked out pretty well the last two summers.

I like the big fat Crayola markers..they don't bleed on to the other side and they also have washable markers that will come off clothes.

I use 4 X 6 card stock colored papers for autographs, and I use fine tip click-it sharpies in different colors.
