Fiance and I are in the process of considering a very expensive WDW vacation. I have gone many times as a solo and dropping $1000 for just me during value season isn't as big of a deal as dropping $5k for a family of 5. So this planning has been daunting to me as we have to travel when the kids are out of school.

I have been considering all of the options some of which being offsite to save money (and maybe driving until our tushes fall off from NY). While I would be happy to lose a large chunk of my tush, I'm not sure if being in the car for 20 hours is my first choice of getting that done. Anyway...

I wanted to sign up for planning DVDs for me and Fiance to watch since he has only gone once for 1 day and is not very knowledable about WDW (and to increase our chances of getting a discount PIN). And, frankly, it's fun for me to watch those things! So I just tried to sign up at Disney's site and twice it said it was not able to fulfill my request at this time. Well wouldn't you know it, I put in Fiance's info (mailing address, email, etc.) and it went through just fine. I HAVE to believe that since I am a seasoned WDW goer and they know my email address already, that they bounced me! Has anyone else had this happen to them? I'm quite peeved.

I dunno, I’m pretty sure this is something that’s not a big deal. Disney doesn’t want to waste money sending DVDs to someone who definitely already has them?

Maybe they know they already sent you the current planning DVD. They don't change them very often.

I think it might have just been a temp glitch. I have ordered them multiple times to give to family and friends that were to "busy" to fill it out for themselves and have always used my own info.

It must've been a glitch. I just ordered one to see if it would work.

As you can see from my signature, they definitely have my email address! :rotfl:

I'm no longer peeved. I just recieved a PIN! Sadly, it's not for the timeframe we are hoping for but it's encouraging :)

I do not take these kind of things personally, I know and accept that Disney is incapable of maintaining a functional database. I get PINS for my sister all the time, never one in my name, even though I have booked and made payments on all trips and I only gave her name as part of my party. I cannot even log into Disney's site using my regular email address because even though I used to be able to just fine, at some point they decided I don't exist, but still will NOT let me re-register with main email address. Drives me nuts. Callling to correct these issues is futile. :rolleyes2

yup............i do all the work and spend most of the money and my married daughter gets the PIN post card everytime........

I wouldn't take it personally. More likely its just another problem with Disney's website. Why that company doesn't pay more attention to its internet "face" is beyond me. :surfweb:

I don't mean to turn this into a 'sales pitch' but if you're considering an off-property solution have you considered Dreams Villas?

www.DreamsVillas.com - or email me at John@DreamsUnlimitedTravel.com if you need additional information.

We have some really great pricing at the moment - all 5 of you can stay for as little as $89/night plus tax depending on when you want to visit. You can see real-time pricing and availability right on the website by clicking the 'Book Now' link.

If you're thinking about driving down and will already have a car this would save you even more money on a car rental. Of course you would have to add the price to park into your budget but depending on your length of stay you might want to consider an annual pass for just one of you. That gets you free parking, discounts on merchandise and you could even get the Tables in Wonderland card to save on food.

I realize that for many folks staying off property is not an option - I respect that - but if you consider staying off property there is an opportunity for some great savings.

Just my 2 cents.
