PeepsII-The Hot, Sweaty Asian Strikes Back. Feb 2010. 12/2-Part 2 has begun.

Jordan has a SHOPPING update!!! :yay::rotfl:

I think it's smart to get something that lasts a long time, and is more expensive, than cheap stuff that falls apart in a season. With that said, I have a TON of cheap stuff - but, it just allows me to shop more often. ::yes:: ;)

I love my Keens. They were an excellent buy. They have been on a very intense 10 day trip in Israel, WDW vacations, camping trips, normal every day use, and a ton more. They are still in good shape and very comfortable. Worth every single penny. And, I have seen good deals online - I've even seen some for as low as $14.99! Of course, select sizes, select styles - but you might be able to score on a deal like that - especially with Black Friday coming up. Kohl's Black Friday ad is online at www.black-friday.net. :goodvibes

Nice taste!

But I agree, they will last a LOT longer and are worth it. Jeff's a huge Kenneth Cole fan.

Speaking of which. I'd suggest sign up for their email updates (or maybe that only happens if you shop online?) Not sure. At any rate I get promo's emailed to me from them and often they are quite good. I do know that they have already had one friends and family coupon and I'd expect one more before the holidays as I always use it to get Jeff some items.

On the Gap, do you have a Gap outlet nearby? Or Nordstrom Rack? Those would be worth checking on. The Rack can be great for shoes too but it's hit or miss.

Keens versus Merrils....pricewise I'd skip stores and do it all online, they all have free return these days and if they don't try elsewhere. You'll get a much better/wider selection and you don't have to deal with the store. I know I just saw a really good coupon for one of them...I can try to dig it up. It wasn't zappos but someone I've had good luck with before too.

Chapter 47. Let the shopping begin.

At some point, you know it had to happen. As a male, I try to avoid such conversations as the talk often ends up being about some sort of bag or purse. If it's not about purses or bags, it's devolves into talk about Crocs or some other shoe or sandal.

My thoughts about talk of shoes/Crocs:

I can't get away from Crocs. They had a whole store dedicated to Crocs....IN CHINA....
China2009356.jpg

Jordan: There is actually a Crocs store at the Orlando airport. So, if you get there and decide you really need some Crocs...... :rotfl:

Will there be "travel-aisle shopping" and "travel-aisle pics"? Can't wait!

you're anti-croc??? i can't believe you haven't had your discard revoked yet.

i LOVE my alice crocs. they are a gift from heaven.

I've actually tried some on and they ARE very comfortable. I just can't bring myself to buy them....

chonies? i'll have to remember that one.

chons for short (pronounced ch owns)

ray ALWAYS has extra breezeways in his. but it's his own fault. he drops them in the floor and the dogs use them as chew toys. we've been married for 7 years now and i STILL cannot figure out for the life of me what is so difficult about putting dirty clothes in a hamper, especially when said dirty clothes are dropped in the floor RIGHT NEXT to the hamper.

Definitely a guy thing. Most of my clothes are on the floor NEXT to the hamper:rolleyes1

by the way, he swears by gap boxers. he loves them. just in case you want to check out their supply next time you're there.

It seems to be the popular place for chonies. I'll have to go look.:thumbsup2

it's not a character flaw....at least i hope it's not! it's inevitable for me....i can be looking through a catalog of clothes and not be paying attention to the prices and EVERY TIME the one item i desire is the most expensive one on the page. that's why i tend to try to not go into places like banana republic or ann taylor...i wouldn't be able to control myself! target and old navy help me out in that department and my wallet thanks me for it! (and so does ray.)

I buy what I like. I'm definitely not adverse to buying stuff at Kohls or Target. I love those stores and have stuff from there, but my first choice would be to walk into a JCrew all the time. I shop online too.

Nice update Jordan! :lmao:

Thanks. It took me awhile to come up with the theme...

It's a great time to shop for deals. Last year I bought a TON of stuff after christmas.

I'm going right now to look at Keens online.

I know...it sounds like a "condition".

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:It totally does.

We do have Gap and Gap Outlets nearby as well as the Rack. I thought I got my Kenneth Coles at Ross, but it was at the Rack in Fresno of all places.

I just looked at Keens online. didn't see anything that jumped out at me.

Kenneth Cole shoes and I have had an affair for decades now. I also had a messenger bag from there.....oops! I slipped up...;)

I think I knew that....Greaaaaat.;)

but of course.

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:It totally does.

But not nearly as much as "Crocs".

Think about it...

Patient: "Doc, I think I got the Crocs."

Doc: "Sure looks like the Crocs alright. I'm sorry there's no cure."

We are lucky to have really good resale shops in Dallas. I have expensive taste too but got a lot of nice clothes for work this weekend, including a pair of pants for $69 that still had the original $825 price tag attached. Who pays $825 for a pair of pants? And then never wears them? :confused3

Anyway, I almost only buy shoes at Zappos, I order a bunch of pairs and send back the ones I don't like - free shipping both ways. I have had good luck there on their sale and clearance page, but of course it depends on your shoe size.

I'm impressed you can buy shorts this time of year, Donna Sue and I were just discussing that we probably wouldn't be able to find new shorts so hopefully last summer's will work. I mean, we could shop the "resort" section at Neimans in January, but that is the home of things like $825 pants. :rotfl:

Oh! And I thought of you the other day....I was in Office Depot buying ink and they had a TRAVEL AISLE! Including travel sized lint rollers. The thing that got me was the travel sized bar soap and mouthwash, I kept imagining someone buying it for someone at their office and leaving it anonymously on their desk.

Dennis says the same thing! Everyone has Crocs but him.

I don't see many people wearing them in SoCal...maybe, I'm just blocking them mentally from my mind

Office Depot has a travel aisle....interesting. I guess they figure business people shop there and they travel alot or you're right, you can have a mini mouthwash or deodorant at work...

I don't see anyone wearing them up here either. Or at least anyone past elementary school. And my mother.

:rotfl:

Zappos is the BOMB!

If I got your tone right, there was a beat between "elementary school." and "and my mother".

That had me cracking me up...
