I made my shirts using hp dark transfer. I used the med setting at first on the iron. It discolored the design. I lowered the temp and it did better. The next morning the designs were peeling off. Not sure what I did wrong. This was my first time. Any advice would be helpful.

medium setting - what does that mean? I used HP dark transfers and always had the iron set to COTTON (which is the second highest setting on my iron). Did you let the iron heat up for 5-8 minutes before starting the ironing?

did they peel after lifting the transfer's tissue paper off or was that done earlier? need more info to help you (but I'm thinking the iron wasn't hot enough).

I had the iron on the cotton setting, at first it seemed too hot because it changed to color of the transfer. The dark transfer I used was where you peel the back off and lay a piece of like parchment paper on top and iron. They seemed fine till the next day when I put one on and the transfer was coming off. I took it off and tried to re-iron the edges again, but again the heat changed the color of the transfer. I will try to post pics soon.

Sese this shirt, I didn't iron long enough (it was hot enough but not long enough).

It's a dark HP transfer.

I just put the parchment paper back on top of the design and re-ironed some more until the ear turned black again.

Here's the finished product:

Thanks, I will try and iron over the transfer again till the color comes back.

I just made a shirt for my niece for her birthday and was worried about the transfer peeling. I attached ribbon with liquid stitch around the border. This might be an option for girls. Here's how it turned out:

sorry the pic isn't better...
