Pedicure story and question

Today is day 4 of unemployment. This called for a pick me up.
What better pick me up than a self-indulgence!!!

Pedicure was my indulgence of choice. While I was there, an adorable young man came in somewhat embarassed. His wife had given him a gift certificate for a pedicure as a joke for his birthday. He decided to take her up on it and so there he was.

He kept us in stitches. He enjoyed himself and I believe he left a convert.

How many other men out there have found this incredible way to pamper yourself?

I kept picturing my DH sitting there with his feet in bubbling water - it gave me a permanent grin. Guess what DH is getting?

I went with my friend to get our nails done, and there were actually two men there having pedicures! They were going to Las Vegas with their friends the next week and said they wanted to have nice toes. How funny! I thought it was great. And yes, they did have girlfriends as well

My husband has done this a couple of times. It makes him nervous, but he does end up enjoying himself. Both times, I had one at the same time so I guess that made it easier. He also loves to get facials.

I want to get one for my DH but I'm afraid he wouldn't go. Actually, being that it's been about 12 years since I had one, I should just get one for me instead!

I thought about sending my DBF a couple of times but he says he would be too embarassed Personally I love going for pedicures, it's so relaxing! My esthetician says that she has one guy who comes in every Sunday morning for a manicure so it looks like there are some men who out there who also like the pampering

The salon/spa I go to has a gentleman who comes in for weekly manicures and facials. He gets a pedicure once a month too. I think it's more common than we think.

My husband was telling me about a friend of his from work who went to get a pedicure with his wife. DH was giving him a hard time, and his friend told him to shut up. He said don't knock it if you haven't tried it!

Does your DH work with my DH? LOL DH loves pedicures, but he'll only go in for one if I go with him. Such a sacrifice, I must make.

I was joking. We're a bit far from Illinois and DH doesn't golf.

My DH hasn't done it, but I know he'd love it! If for nothing else then the massage chair you sit in during the pampering! LOL

I talked DH into having a pedicure last year while at WDW, he didn't want to, but I told him he would love it. DD and myself were having pedicures and manicures at the Saratoga Spa and I made an appointment for him too. He did it and I think he would do it again.
