Hello!! Just wanted to see if anyone has tried pediasure and ensure??? My 12 yo daughter needs to drink 2 a day, and her dr said she could have either or. We are just wondering about the taste difference. She will be drinking it (no tube feedings) so the taste is quite important.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts/advice!

I've never tasted either, but DD drank Pediasure for a couple years when she was around 3 or 4. I only was giving her one a day, but she really liked the taste and wanted to drink them all the time.

Her pediatrician said we could also give her Carnation Instant Breakfast in place of the Pediasure. I tried that and DD actually preferred the taste of the Pediasure. Too bad since the Carnation is a whole lot less expensive. I like the taste of the Carnation and drink it for breakfast often. So I figure if DD preferred the Pediasure, it must taste pretty good.

If she can have either, see which one SHE likes better. Try small cases [6-packs?]. And buy big cases once she has decided which one she likes. At 12,her taste buds are becoming 'adult', so she might like Ensure.

Yeah we did the carnation too, but she needs to take it to school

My husband and I decided that at the commissary last night. Ensure is a lot cheaper!! Let's hope she has more "adult" taste!
