Thanksgiving Week Trip
Pecos Bill's
Day 3 MK for lunch
Cast includes me, Disney Nut 48 and teen DSs. Dad stayed home!
Lunch at Pecos Bills was surprisingly good. Then again, I usually base our dining decisions on menus and reviews on these boards. The lines were already forming but moved along quickly. FYI If you have a stroller with you, try to get someone to order while you stay more toward the entrance or restrooms. The order area is very tight because of the podiums where orders are placed.
We were on the Dining Plan. The burgers were hot and fresh. I couldn't believe my kids did not take advantage of the fixin's bar. It looked great! My chicken wrap was very large and tasted quite good for counter service. I opted for carrot sticks knowing full well I would be eating dessert. If you prefer a light lunch, you could share one of these wraps. Onto to dessert... For a pre-packaged dessert, these were good. Tasty and rich without the plasticy texture or too sweet taste I often associate with this kind of convenience food. They were packaged well enough, I think that you could easily take them with you. No refrigeration needed. We polished them off and were very full but not uncomfortably so. All in all, a good choice if you like burgers and fries and good alternatives if you don't. We ate outside under a covered patio. Inside looked big but I never did check it out except to find the rest rooms. Seating was at a premium as it was getting to be prime lunch time.
Food and Beverages:
B
2 1/4 pound cheeseburger meals with French fries*
1 chicken wrap with carrots*
*(choice of either fries or carrots!)
unsweetened ice tea and apple juices for the guys
3 peanut butter brownie mousse desserts
B-
Atmosphere:
C
It was kind of messy since the table turnover was pretty much non-stop. We like to sit outside and people watch as we dine.
Overall, an above average counter service experience! The cost was about $33 before taxes.
Next up: California Grill for dinner
