Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn has added two new items to the menu.*They will now be serving a one-third pound Angus burger and a one-third pound specialty Angus burger.

I wonder if the new angus burgers will have something besides the dry, nasty wheat bun....

Oh that would be so nice if they had a decent bun!

Wonder if they are getting rid of the other burgers? Or just adding them to it?
And what is a specialty angus burger????

Yep, however them seem to have done away with the great tasting, and a bit different, chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and gravy. It was so nice to have something resembling a home cooked meal instead of the same hamburgers, in whatever disquise they choose. sigh

Slightly Goofy

At least they will be big enough to feed my meat loving teen. I too wonder about the price.

i dh will like that, but i agree the bun will need to match the burger.. didn't dominos listen to there customers?????

They may still be doing the chicken fried steak plates on certain days.:)

Last month they were doing them on non-high traffic days.:)

I talked to a Pecos Bill manager and he said they didn't have the kitchen capacity to do them on high traffic days.:)

As long as they use buns that will hold up to the burger, sounds good. Last time I ate there, my hamburger bun disintegrated in about 30 seconds and I'm fairly conservative with the toppings.

Maybe because McDonalds has 1/3 pound Burgers now? they have McDonald fries! just a thought.

They don't have McDonald's anything anywhere in the parks anymore. That contract is over and wasn't renewed.

I tried the 1/3lb. BBQ Cheeseburger with the onion rings in it yesterday for lunch and I have to say it was REALLY good.

Keep in mind, I actually worked at Pecos for a year and a half in the late 90s so I was quite attached to their food as it was and I had to go and try it out for myself.

I actually hope it goes well for them and they stick with it.

Once you have this new angus burger though, I'm sure every other counter service burger on property will be pretty disappointing :lmao:

So I take it that was the "specialty" burger vs. the "regular" burger? BBQ sauce and onion rings on the burger? The other a typical cheeseburger?

I thought it was odd when I was at WDW last month that Pecos Bill's didn't have a burger on the menu that wasn't a double cheeseburger. I wouldn't order a double burger.

Sounds good, as someone who doesn't usually eat burgers on property, I'm looking foward to trying it.
