Pearl hunt in Japan (world showcase)

Hey all!

So my mother and I are arguing that in the World Showcase, Japan to be precise, in the shop a guest can do the pearl hunt. My mother says that it is guaranteed that a guest gets a pearl, I say she is incorrect. If anyone knows the truth, please let me know!

I'm about 99% sure you're guaranteed a pearl. I've never done it before, but I'm pretty sure you're guaranteed one.

You're guaranteed a pearl, otherwise, it's a waste of $13
You're mainly just trying to pick out the oyster that will give you the biggest pearl

The oysters are "inseminated" for lack of a better word

Yes you always get a pearl. If you by any chance opened an oyster that didn't have a pearl, they would let you open another one.
