Read thru many of the threads on Pearl, but actually looking for some advice.... We have 8 of us going to Aulani late September. We have plans for a specific day to visit Pearl. We have decided for sure to do both the Arizona Memorial, and the Missouri.... what we are looking for are other suggestions... AND do we allocate a half day? full day?? Any other "must see's" please let us know what, and what makes it a must see..

Thanks!!!

I'd allocate that as a full day personally and if you finish up early then add something on that doesn't require scheduling. We also really enjoy going thru the Bowfin. With going around the memorial, out to the Arizona, the Missouri and the Bowfin it pretty much was a full day. Or as much as we wanted to do that day.

We have done both a couple of times so didn't need quite as much time for the Missouri on our 2nd visit but allowed for 4-5 hours. My suggestion would be to go as early as you can - it will still get hot in late Sept. on the deck of that ship - so bring water for each person too. We went at around 8:45 for our Arizona tour and did it on a Sunday so we wouldn't have to deal with rush hour traffic getting there. There are earlier tours but since you're supposed to be there an hour before your tour we didn't want to have to leave Aulani earlier than 7:00. I think the first time we went we were there at least 5 hours but this time we finished up by around 1:00 (a little over 4 hours). When we finished we went on in to Waikiki and had a late lunch.

Lunch in Honolulu and perhaps shopping at Ala Moana Shopping Center--although that place is a zoo. After we went to Pearl Harbor we returned to Aulani and enjoyed the afternoon on the lazy river.
