I've never ordered any, but from reading others TR's, I think all the PB&J sandwhiches are the Uncrustables...?
Uncrustables are kinda like pocket sandwiches. It has the PB&J filling inside, and the crust is cut off fringed so it's harder to get your filling all over the place. They aren't different from regular sandwiches at all, but I think they're kinda fun.(Though not necessarily worth $6) Here's what they look like: Uncrustables
A uncrustable is a premade pb&j sandwhich in the shape of a circle with the crust cut off. You by them in the freezer section they only take a couple of hours to thaw out. Perfect to take into the DL for snacks.
Thanks both Actionvaughn and Pixiedust. I just showed DD and she's not so sure about them. I think I'll start looking at other options.
In my "other countries are healthier" state of mind, I can't quite imagine you are used to the use of HFCS in Australia, so it's best to stay far far away.
In my opinion.![]()
The Carnation Cafe has a kids meal that is a painters pallet, basically a build your own peanut butter sandwich.
As a label reader, I don't think I've seen any HFCS on any product. In Australia rather than an abundance of corn hence HFCS, we rely primarily on straight sugar. Having said that, I try to avoid as many additives as possible for DD who is sensitive to many other foods.
I read the ingredients in the Uncrustable - I don't think I would of let DD have it anyway. As a comparison my local bread shop has no 282, vinegar, or other additivie or preservative, just flour, water, yeast, and a couple of other basics. My PB has only peanuts!
That's it, I'm moving to Australia!
Dh just noticed the other day, when I was sick and he was shopping, that even the "normal" vanilla extracts had corn syrup in them. He got the high end organic extract instead, b/c even normal corn syrup triggers my boy (sigh).
I'm glad you asked ahead of time so you wouldn't have to experience what your girl might react to while there! OK that sentence made noooo sense.![]()
Since I virtually eat nothing(except for very special occasions( except protein and very complex carbs and very little of those) where you are getting you HFCS information. I just looked at a high end vanilla bottle and there is no where it states it has HFCS.
I would appreciate where you are obtaining this info so I may use it.
Thanks,
Jack
