Hey all:surfweb:
DS is only 3 and a very significant peanut allergy.
I'd love to take him to Ghirdellis or Main St Bakery but doubt there's anything safe for him there...
Anyone got any wisdom on this ???:worship:
I think I heard the icecream at the Dole whips place is OK ???
I understand the Mickey icecreams in the carts are ok....
Nothing at Goofy's Candy co seemed safe :confused3

Our oldest son has a severe peanut/tree nut. He ate ice cream at Chef Mickeys and other restaurants with no trouble. The waiter brought him whatever toppings he wanted from the kitchen to eliminate cross contamination issues. He ate a mickey on a stick each day from an ice cream cart with no problems. At Goofy's Candy Store, we passed on the make your own rice krispey treat because I did not view this as safe, but they do sell pre-packaged rice krispey treats with chocolate ears that he ate with no problems. We had an awesome allergy free experience at WDW. If only real life were this easy!

I would suggest you go to the disABILITIES Forum and look at the disABILITIES FAQ. Page 3 wqill have lots of useful informtion and links in the area marked Diet. A quick way to get there is follow the link in my signature.

I didn't think about the DISabilities forum :rolleyes1
I'll head over there now and thanks too for the other posts:hug:

Two of my kids have peanut/tree nut allergies. They were able to have Dole Whips and plain vanilla ice cream at several TS restaurants. Sprinkles were off limits. We were told that all bakery items, including rice krispie treats were not safe. All the breads served at the restaurants, except hot dog and hamburger buns, also had x-contam issues. Pre-packaged Divvies cookies are available in some shops, but we never bothered to look for them. The one pastry treat that we were able to enjoy were the mini donuts at the waterparks. They're fried fresh and are REALLY good. :lovestruc
