AUL/BCV - First MM trip - Back to back trips 22 hours in flight.

Tbh that pool party looks like a carnival cruise ship.
I read your aulani crowded lounge description to dh because crowded lounges are his pet peeve with dvc and he said not going to aulani lol
If you don’t do pool or beach on your checkin or checkout day you can avoid the lounge thankfully.

How about a Canadian Tuxedo? Or whatever they call it. 😝 Denim is nuts - but combine denim and the old Splash Mountain and I can just feel the chaffing starting to happen. 😕
See for me I have to have denim or I chafe, well whatever pants Im wearing have to be tight to my skin or I chafe. That’s why some of the loose thin pants some recommended to me won’t work for me :(

These do help. I think I need compression so I don’t feel the sweat. It could also be I am set in my ways and don’t love change 🤪 even when I suffer for it.
I think that’s why I like Nike Dry-Fit or Columbia ThermaCool products… they really help the skin to breathe and wick away moisture. That combined with some aquaphor where skin on skin contacts occurs seems to be the trick for me….

I also discovered that my deodorant was blocking some pores and causing issues…. so I switched that up and that had been a big deal for these very “active days”.

First impressions really are everything and it seemed like they failed in that arena. My goodness, isn't end of aug the off season/kids are back to school? It seems really crowded, is it like this all year? We were aiming for September next year because kids are in school, maybe we should change that!

The view looks amazing and im glad there's lots of activities! Were super excited for this one! I read your BCV analysis as well and I could relate to and agree with everything you were saying, the feels weren't there for us either and we were scared we'd want to own, instead we have this problem now with BWV 🤣🤣

It was our 2nd time at Aulani and I can say our previous trip was better, but again my family is a lot to deal with. I am considering September for my trip next year actually. The downside is the pools close earlier than in August. I have been meaning to call Aulani and ask exactly what date the pool hours change. I saw reports on FB that last week and part of the previous week Aulani was not crowded at all. That could make up for the shorter pool hours.

I think you and I have the same travel schedule 🤣🤣 So did you just go to Aulani and love it and decide to buy? Was it your first DVC resort purchase?

Im sure thats happened to many where theyre frustrated with their home resort, if I do become a Poly owner and go during high season im sure my trip report will be much different 🤣🤣

We homeschool so we can travel whenever we want. But we tend to travel for birthdays and all our birthdays tend to land when it's busy and expensive. I bought Aulani sight unseen. I actually really love Aulani. I would sell all my other points before Aulani (subsidized is partly why) Here is my first trip report. https://www.disboards.com/threads/1st-dvc-member-trip-aulani.3952823/

It was more about the dues than anything when I decided to buy. But I was so afraid I would hate it. I fell in love with it. Im hoping this recent trip was a one off not amazing time and next year I will be back to 100% in love. I just have to decide August again or Sept..
