I have read here that the kids club can be busy/hectic on the first night (but that is when kids buddy up). Are there any other particular times during the cruise when the clubs are busy? I would imagine that the kids clubs would have fewer kids when in port, but I'm not sure if that's actually true. DS4-1/2 and DD 3 are a bit shy about large groups of kids, and was wondering how to prepare them. After reading the Kid's Navigator's on Dave's site, I really hope they'll enjoy it there because the planned activities look like so much fun! I know DS is psyched about not having to take a nap if he has quiet time watching a movie at the club. :earboy2:

My son was in the 3-4 yr old group in May and he can be *very* overwhelmed by large groups of kids so I wasn't sure how the whole club thing was going to work for him. But once he saw the slide inside he was good to go.

The only time he seemed apprehensive was when they went over to the lab and made goo. According to the counselors that is the most popular activity and tons of kids showed up for it. They had little blue lab coats for the kids to wear- mine wouldn't, but he did end up staying for the activity.

HTH!

Mornings are also less busy in the clubs. My DS hadn't been able to play on the computers in the lab because they were always being used when he got there. So we went one morning on a sea day around 9:00 when they were having free time in the lab and there were only a handful of kids in there. He got to use the computers for quite a while that morning!

I always felt that the check in, not the actual club was crowded right when they opened (alot of people checking their kids in) and about 4pm as people are getting their kids out for dinner. The ship has always been filled when we have sailed and I have heard that Disney only takes a certain number of kids for each age group so that the clubs are not crowded. My kids have never felt crowded. The Kids Club is fantastic! Enjoy your trip :D
