Peacock suites

Hi, is there anyone who has stayed at the peacock suites? and do you have any pictures of the rooms there? I'm going in july and was wondering how far a walk is it to gardenwalk, or disneyland, or downtown disney for that matter. I don't want to pay for the ART shuttle(don't like to be crowded anyways), but i also dont want to walk too much....i'd rather have a taxi pick us up and take us to downtown disney but have heard that the taxis won't even come to this hotel because it's so close?????Is this true,,,,anyone!!!!,

It's about a mile away I think. I wouldn't walk it with all the additional walking in the parks but have heard at least one person say they thought it was a nice walk. Took 15 or 20 minutes I think they said. If it's just adults I would say it's doable but not preferable and I would not do it with young kids. Walking to the Garden Walk would be fine I think but Disneyland is just enough extra to make it not fun at the end of the day.

For some reason I didn't take any pics of the room or even much of the hotel at all. Sorry. I've stayed there twice now and quite liked it. The people there are very nice and very helpful.

We have stayed there 3 times this year and have our last timeshare points trip scheduled for Mem. weekend, we will be there the 23rd-26th. We walked when it was DBF and myself but we won't do it with the kids, it's a bit far for them to walk. We took a taxi back when we left at night. It's nice depending on your neighbors, our last couple of stays have been disappointing for a variety of reasons so I contacted management and let them know, the manager emailed me back and told me that he "hopes we will be pleased with our next stay and he would see what he could do to make it the best stay we've had yet" so I'm hoping we get a nice upgrade or something. But, I'm not holding my breath for it either.

The rooms are a decent size, the staff is nice but they've never gone out of their way for us, the valets are the nicest guys!! We always tip them because we drive to the parks. We also let them know if we will be leaving again that day, if they know that you are they will put your vehicle closer to the front, makes it easier for them when you are picking up your car.
