i know it is $10 mandatory valet parking. Is the $10 per day or every time you leave and come back? (so if we went to Disneyland in the morning, came back for lunch, went back in the evening and came back for the night would it be $20 for that day?)

It's per day, they just valet park for you. And actually they don't have to valet every time unless there is a crowding issue.
Also there is an ART shuttle that picks up outside the main entrance, possibly cheaper than parking at Disney depending on how many in your party. We have also walked from that location, again depends on your party.

We stayed there a couple years ago and the $10 was for all day. The first day we went in and out twice with no problem. They were super fast to get our vehicle when we needed it. We only took the shuttle to the parks (it is not in walking distance IMHO).
