Orlando Peabody ducks have their final march

The Peabody Hotel ducks made their final march Monday. The clock chimed 5 p.m. when the loveable feathered creatures took their final strut through the hotel lobby.
This was the last march for the ducks because the Orlando hotel has been sold and will soon reopen as a Hyatt Regency. The duck march has been a daily tradition since the Peabody opened back on Nov. 1, 1986. That's almost 27 years!
Since that day, guests at the hotel have gathered every afternoon to watch the ducks walk from the elevator to the fountain. There was a total of 300 people in attendance at Monday's final march.
The ducks were taken care of and trained by "Duck master," Donald Tompkin. The ducks will be moving to a farm, where they'll live out the rest of their lives.
If you would like to continue to see some ducks march, feel free to stop by the Peabody Hotel in Memphis, Tennessee because the ducks at that facility will continue to march
