I just saw this in a magazine and ordered one for our 7 mos old daughter. It came the other day. The bag it goes into is about 3" thick and maybe 6" long (circle). The first time folding it was a little tricky, but it says not to worry about really bending it as the frame wont break. It also says that it may need to be reshapened down the road. Set up and take down was fairly quick (it was faster to blow up the mattress by mouth vs pump). It hasnt been officially tried out yet, but I did stick my daughter in it and watched her for awhile. She likes to roll on her tummy to sleep now so I was a bit concerned. The mattress has a vinyl side and a fabric side, plus it slips into a pocket under the bed. Theres also a blanket that I laid under my daughter. I put the fabric side up facing my daughter (mattress and blanket). The blanket didnt move when she did, which is good. The sides are mesh so Im not too worried if she plants her face there like she does in the crib.
Overall the first time she sleeps in it I wont sleep much since I will want to check her constantly. Might be something to test out at nap time! For a baby whos not yet moving around I think it would be good. For one that can roll back and forth, same thing. But for a baby who is moving but not rolling, I might hold off until he/she can get out of a situation if need be. It will be a real joy to take this on trips vs lugging the big, heavy pack n play!
