PE Upgrades

Hi everyone

I have just read on a thread that some of you have got PE upgrades with virgin for £50...how? I want to fly PE but couldnt affford it this time...any tips?

I think Virgin were doing an offer whereby if you booked by a certain date you could upgrade to PE for £50. Not sure of the details but I think it was Virgin Atlantic as opposed to Virgin Holidays (or maybe vice versa)

I was just thinking that maybe they offer this cheaper rate if they have availability on the day of your flight and you could ask at checkin. Don't know if this happens, but it wouldn't hurt to ask. Actually, I'd like a £50 upgrade too. How did you all manage one?

I think the best thing to do is check this board often to see if any has posted anything of any offers and also check the V Flyer forums.

The £50 upgrade was a special offer on for flights during May. It was only available for 3 days -- even managed to get it applied to existing bookings

We had a tip off on another board for which we are extremely grateful

I might fly out PE so would get 32kg allowance, but fly back economy...what would happen regarding my baggage allowance?

your baggage allowance would be reduced for the home sector, probably be wiser to do the upgrade the other way round!
