Is there a way to save several Word documents into one PDF document without having to print them out and scan them?

Print them to PDF. If you have Adobe Acrobat (the full program, not just Acrobat reader), it shows up as an option in your printers.

If not, I suggest CutePDF. It's free, and it works.

Thanks! I have a couple more questions... wouldn't that result in several PDFs? Is there an option so that they merge into one document?

With Adobe Acrobat, you'll be given the option to merge them into a single file or to make a portfolio (a "binder" of the individual files).

Not sure how any of the "free" versions work.

In acrobat, it's quite doable... however, you gotta pay for that. The freeware program offers no such alternative. It's a PDF print utility.

It would print them into multiple PDF's, however an easy workaround would be to copy/paste the text in the documents into 1 document, format it like you would like it to appear, and print that one.
