Hi,
Can anybody recommend a good PDA (or handhelp computer) or a good comparison site.Got my eye on an HP 5550 as it's got bluetooth and wi-fi built in and a decent size screen.
Any advice greatfuly received.

Mick.

I've got the 5450. It works great, syncs with my Macintosh via Bluetooth, has a good range of software and a terriffic screen (nice for an electronic photo album). To be honest I only use a fraction of its capability, so if I were buying a new PDA I would probably go for something is cheaper/smaller/lower spec. For example, I've not used the WiFi capability, the MP3 playback or any of the processor intensive functions like multimedia playback. My girlfriend recently bought the iPaq 1940 which is much smaller than my 5450 (even though it has the same size screen) but has all the functionality that I need.

A few sites for you:

I have an IPAQ 1935 and it's great. I doesn't have bluetooth, just IR comms and USB link to the PC, but that's all I need :)

I was a godsend in the recent freeze when I was stuck in traffic for hours. I played a few rounds of golf on it to kill the boredom :)

I use an IPAQ 2210. Smaller than the 5550, but it has bluetooth which is all I need.

If you can live without WIFI and the biometric finger scanner thing, then I think the 2210 is well worth a look - its size alone makes it a lot more practical than the 5550.

I bought the IPAQ 5550 . But iin hindsight I could have the Dell and saved nearly half the money. Just as good a processor and does 90% of the Ipaq which is all I use.

Kaylees DH here.....

I have a iPaq 5550 and I find it really useful. I can acces the internet via WiFi all over the house and into the garden as the iPaq is far more portable then a laptop. I've added GPS navigation which is great for not getting lost when going travelling somewhere new. Also as I work in IT I can use the bluetooth and VPN via a gprs enabled cell phone and the Terminal Services capabilities to manage the servers at work whilst on the move.

Kaylee also likes it for playing Solitaire :D
