I can't decide which breakfast we would rather have.

I'm leaning toward PCH for a couple reasons....Lilo & Stitch and the fact that Chef Mickey's in WDW is not my favorite character meal (and Goofy's seems similar). The rest of my group doesnt care one way or the other, but if there is a huge differnece in food, ambiance or price that may be a determining factor.

We are 40 something parents, 10 year old boy and 11 year old girl (cousin)

thoughts?

We love both meals, but they are different.

The Lilo-n-Stitch breakfast is a small buffet (or order off menu) in a smaller restaurant. We loved this meal for that reason!!! It was much quieter & we got a lot of time with Lilo & Stitch. When we were there, it was before the spring break crowds arrived in town & so we only saw 4 characters total. Two at the photo op area & only Lilo & Stitch going table to table. I will say, that the 2 we saw at the photo op area were Minnie & Daisy Duck (we'd never seen her before & she tends to be at this one pretty regularly). The lack of characters was not noticed due to the amount of interaction everyone in our family received from the 2 main characters. They came to our table at least 5 different times!!! They also did a game of "Island Hopping" which is kinda like musical chairs, but no one is eliminated. They also taught the kids to hula! Lilo & Stitch participate in both of these fun activities.

Goofy's Kitchen is a very popular meal. Lots of activity (and noise). The buffet is awesome & huge!!! We tend to see between 5-8 characters each time we've gone. We usually see Pluto or Minnie at the photo op area & then have seen Goofy, Max, Alice, Baloo, Mad Hatter, Jasmine & Aladdin & Chip and Dale on our last couple trips. (not all the same meal) Chef Goofy has the kids go up by the buffet to dance & make noise with pots thruout the meal. All of our family loves this meal & we usually do a breakfast & a dinner during our trips.

Hope that helps a bit.

I have only been to the PCH Grill's character breakfast once. We got exclusive pins when we went, but I do not think they are available any longer. I have been to Goofy's Kitchen many times. I like the atmosphere, and the food is really good. There are a lot more characters available at Goofy's Kitchen.

I would do Lilo & Stitch again over GK, GK was not fun for us. :)

Lilo and Stitch buffet was very small and disappointing. We had very little interaction with Lilo and Stitch, more with vacation Goofy. The characters and food was much better at Goofy's.

That's so funny because we loved the buffet! The flautas and coconut/pineapple scones were amazing! Dh and DMIL do not like buffet so they ordered off the menu and DD and I did buffet. It was very relaxing and we got lots of time with all of the characters. DD loved the hula lessons!

I think it's going to be PCH.....my son has Aspergers and Sensory Integration Dysfunction, so the quieter place sounds like a better option for us.

thanks for the input :)

Actually, I have never noticed Goofy's to be unusually loud (and I have been eating there a very long, long time), but I read people's posts all the time that always say it is so loud! I guess what is viewed as loud to some is not loud to everyone. I suppose, because it is a buffet only and no menu orders, there are more people up on their feet, milling about at the stations, which could create more 'noise.' It is no louder or noisier than, say, the Plaza Inn or the River Belle Terrace, etc. In fact, I think those places are much noisier than Goofy's by a mile because they are IN the park. I don't want you to get the wrong idea that Goofy's is an uncomfortably loud place in general, where you can't hear yourself talk or think. I have never had that problem. There are tons of small kids there, so they have to keep the noise somewhat contained - the one time when it is unusually loud or where there is sudden, unexpected noise is when Goofy comes out to 'drop' the pots and pans on the floor, which gets everyone's attention and gets the kids up on the floor to do the macarena and other dancing with all the characters in the restaurant, which is very cute (though a bit hokey for adults, it is adorable to watch tiny toddlers dancing with Baloo and Aurora, etc.).

But I would say that you probably made the right choice with Lilo and Stitch because, even though I think you all would be fine with the overall noise level at Goofy's, the sudden pots and pans crashing sound may be unsettling for your son and it's better to be safe than sorry.:goodvibes

Oh gracious....PCH Grill is *small*? And not as noisy? Jinkies, I'd best not do Goofy's then! We found the Grill to be large and noisy (though not unpleasant).

My daughter is special needs and loves Goofy's, infact we will be there tomorrow night. We go for dinner and get one of the first times (5:10 tomorrow evening) when it is still pretty quite. Since my daughter has communication issues this one works better for her as they "play" more with her and include her with the other kids. She has a lot more fun here then the ones where they just come to the table. Just realized you said breakfast - so maybe if you can't make the early seating, the late seating would work better.

I thought I was the only one who did not think Chef Mickey's was "wonderful":worship:!! It was the worse character meal we had at WDW.
