:confused3 Does anyone know how I would go about getting the hard drive contents from my PC to my notebook when I can't see the anything on the PC as I think the videocard is dead.

Actually, I'm not sure what happened. One minute it worked (turned off monitor and went away) the next it didn't (came back, turned it on - no picture).

:confused3 :badpc:

Can you connect the notebook to the monitor to confirm the problem is really within the PC box?

If the monitor works, just buy a new video card. As long as you don't go for one with lots of memory, they are way cheap. Easy to install as well.

Okay, I calmed down. I connected an old monitor to the PC. The old monitor works so it must be the monitor. I'm not sure what's wrong with it. I think it may be time to buy a flat panel.

CRT's go out quickly. I had one poof right in front of me.

Get a widescreen flat panel, you'll love it.

Cardaway,

Thanks for the response. I'm looking online now.
