PC or POFQ vs. borrowing points? UPDATE

What would you do?

  • Go really cheap - Pop Century, you won't be in the room anyway

  • Go mod - POFQ

  • Borrow even more points, stay DVC!

  • Don't go at all, you've been too much anyway

another vote for the moderates
i would only borrow points for large family gatherings, i need grand villas for these and only plan them for every 2-3 years
we live in ny and i refuse to drive more than 8 hours so we haven't done any quick type getaways, we would if airfare was less than $50 each way but so far none from ny
i would probably do pofq or cs if good ap rate, i like the moderates for short stays, we did a convention in 03 at cs for 5 days, with 3 as working days and loved it

Well, I think we have a go!

I booked PC for $49 a night! with an email offer I received and we found a date -
Coming in 10/2, leaving the 5th.
Grandparents lined up to watch the kids and hubby is ~pretty sure~ he can take it off. I was beginning to think we would never find a good time for him to go.

I was pretty nervous about borrowing the points late in our use year so I think this works out fine if we have to cancel last minute. With CRO we have five days and even after that we would only lose a one night deposit of $49. Can't beat that deal. I thought about POFQ, but I figure we won't be in the room much since we'll only have really two full park days.

Cheap, quick get away now planned! The dates work out great, too. We can do MNSSHP and F&W, we've never been to either.

Two trips planned with hubby now, this one and then again in February for our ten year anniversary. Wow, we haven't been alone together since our five year anniversary trip!

Thanks for all the opinions!

I hope everything works out, so you can have a much deserved break. Your little one will grow out of some of it.

I can see you two now, holding hands skipping thru the parks carefree and kidfree! LOL!:Pinkbounc :bounce:

P.S.
I just saw your countdown timer. A little excited about the "no kids" aspect of your vacations? I may have to steal that for my countdown!
