Greetings from Portland, Oregon!
(where we are spoiled with great coffee and beer!)
We are traveling to Orlando for the first time in mid-December (3 nights at PBR and 4 nights at VGF in WDW).

Can you tell me about the rooms at the Portofino Bay Resort -- specifically the Deluxe Rooms with 2 queens?

We love making coffee in the room, but I like hot milk in my coffee (e.g. I will need a fridge and microwave). Do the rooms at PBR have mini fridges and microwaves?

Also, what type of coffee makers do they have? We normally bring coffee from home.

If we cannot make coffee in the room, can I get a decent latte in the lobby? Closest Starbucks?:surfweb:

I am grateful for any insight you can offer.
Thanks!

The delux rooms are the largest , but all of the added space is in the bathroom. The bath has double sinks, separate tub and shower stall and toilet.
NO microwave or fridge in the room. You can ask for a fridge for an extra nightly charge.
There is a mini-bar that is now a simple drawer( it used to be a lock/key system). If you remove and item from the drawer( even if you don't use it) you are charged
Rooms all have Keurig coffee makers and Keurig coffee( Emerils Brand)
Not sure about other coffee( we stay club level and get the starbucks coffee that is provided by the club lounge)

Love the Emeril's kcups!

There's a Starbucks at citywalk but I haven't found it to be a very good one. It's also rather out of the way as you have to go further into CW (away from the parks) and up the escalator to the second level. I prefer the Starbucks inside the Studios. Cannot remember if there's one in IOA.

Since you mentioned beer, did you know Orlando has an *organic* brewery? www.orlandobrewing.com :)

I would imagine that Sal's Deli would have good coffee!

If you really want Starbucks, either bring Starbucks K-cups with you for the Kuerig, or you can walk to the HRH where there is also a Starbucks (probably about a 5 minute walk).

I wonder if you called the resort and asked if there was a microwave available, if you could get one for your room. Can't hurt to try...

Thanks so much for the feedback and ideas!
I just learned that we can reserve a mini-fridge and microwave for the room ($15/device). We want to stock up on some groceries to offset the additional $30/day price.

We find it slightly healthier, more time efficient and less expensive to nosh in the room.

We scheduled a driver with a grocery stop to buy water, breakfast and snack items.

Thanks again!
