Pbh----I booked it!

I am going to PBH Apr 7-13. I am gold lowes. I have seen where people suggest booking the least expensive room, then upgrading to the suite with gold membership. I havent been able to upgrade before. Do I ask for the upgrade when I book? If so do I call lowes? There will be 4 of us in the room, does the suite sleep 4? (at RPR I couldnt upgrade because the king suite is only for 3). I have an AP but I dont think there will be rates for AP available at that time. They are showing a supersaver rate for my dates that looks good. I am worried about waiting to see if I get the suite upgrade, since I would like the larger room. Should I just book the deluxe anyway, so if I dont get the upgrade I still have deluxe? This is giving me a headache!

Call Loews to book and they should upgrade you immediately if there is vacancy. With gold you will just get upgraded to a better room instead of a suite. Ask for the cheapest and upgrade to a deluxe. If you want to upgrade to a suite it will be $35 more. The suites have two queen beds in one room and a pull out in the other. I have the super savings rate and am getting the suite upgrade (I am platinum).

With platinum, I have already been guaranteed my suite upgrade and I don't check in until Feb. Upgrades can be confirmed at time of reservation. If they aren't available, you can request. But with gold, the $35 suite upgrade is only available at check in but the deluxe room upgrade is available at the time of reservation. Is that what you mean?

I called Loews and booked it. Booked a standard room, upgraded to deluxe for loews gold, requested west side and bay view. I have to request suite upgrade at check in. I also got the super-savers rate, but had to request it. It was better than the AAA for my dates (April 7-13, spring break). Expensive but I know I will love it!

Does anyone know the sq footage of the deluxe?

I believe the deluxe are 490 sq ft at PBH and 500 at HRH. I've looked at both and if I get a deluxe will go with HRH.

I am about to make a reservation for the Pbh through AAA. Will they take my Loews card number over the phone? Or do you need to book with Loews which is a lot more?

Booking with Loews should not be any more. Call them and ask for their AAA rate. It should be the same. If you are a loews first member, they may be able to offer you an upgrade at that time but I don't believe the AAA office can do that.

Otherwise just call the hotel you give your Loews first number or give it when you arrive.

I am Gold at the minute and got the upgrade with my booking, so will need to request the suite if available, at checkin.

Supersaver rate for your date is $341 (peak spring break time?). My supersaver rate for Feb. 23 is $255.

Would love this info also! We were looking at stoping in for 1 night on our way back from FLL from a cruise. The prices are so expensive....

The supersaver is just a normal rate that comes up on the website. I think you have to be staying at least 3 nights to get it. It is a "the more you stay, the more you save" type of thing.

I'll try again tomorrow.
I decided on 3 nights AAA and I'll buy the $85 dollar tickets later.
Total for standard room $726.30. I'll hope for an upgrade but if I don't get it that's fine too.

Make sure you check by phoning Loews as well as to what they are asking for their AAA rate.

Well, Damo, you were right! Now I am so excited! I didnt realize there were so many restaurants. So now I need advice. I know I'll be going to Mama Dellas, but what about Bice? I havent heard much about that one. I'm taking 3 teenagers so I dont want fancy-smantzy or anything!
