PBH club level, kind of a letdown

While the trip is fresh in my head, I'm posting more than I'm sure I should, but I'm still excited from the trip. The one thing that stuck in my craw though is that while last year, Disney's concierge at Beach Club was AMAZING, not just from the time opened/benefits, the club level at PBH was very disappointing.

The first thing that stood out, shamefully, is that the hours where wine and beer are served are much shorter, ending at 7pm, rather than 10pm at Disney (later if tipping the right person). The second thing is that the club lounge is on the bottom floor, right next to the concierge desk which is available to all guests (which is fine), but without a sign indicating what the club lounge was for, it FELT like people were jumping in behind others to take advantage of the free food.

In addition to the above, I was frustrated that the place was always packed with people. Maybe it was because I was at Disney in September and US in August, but with even the smaller room at Disney's club lounge, it felt more spacious. If not because of the time of year, I can only guess it is due to the larger number of club level rooms available and/or people 'slipping through' the door.

Can anyone report if the other hotels are better because while we are excited to stay onsite again, especially at PBH, we will likely give a pass on the club level as the benefits are not there, especially when compared to the Beach Club.

We were really spoiled on the CR 14th floor. We loved our stay at RPR. The entire 7th floor of 1 building in Concierge only (needed you room key in the elevator). The lounge was large. There were 2 large TV's at each end. You were free to change the channels. Plenty of food. I don't remember how late it was served as we didn't eat there much at that time.

The only drawback is that only about 1/3 of the rooms have a pool/park view. The rest face highways, parking lots, etc. Our 1st room had a nasty highway view. We changed the next day for a lovely park/pool view.

I just came back from PBH Club Level and I have stayed concierge at Beach Club, AKL & WL. I didn't find PBH any more crowded than Disney resorts, I wasn't paying attention to the wine/beer service because I don't drink it, but I did see lots of people taking bottles of beer and plates of food from the lounge.

PBH lounge is larger than Beach Club's - and Beach Club closes their lounge between food services so you can't even get a glass of soda. I thought PBH was better than BC for sure, but not as nice as AKL.
