First let me say that we have stayed at the PBH 4 other times and LOVED IT!
That said I found some aspects of the service lacking this trip.
When we arrived at 11am our rm was ready - GREAT - we had a deluxe rm in bldg 2 facing the Villa pool on the 4th floor. Room was clean and perfect!
when we returned that 1st night all was good beds turned down - lights dimmed music softly playing - PERFECT! except 1 of the red throws at the end of one of our beds was gone - no biggy.
Upon arriving back on the 2nd night - no cups had been replaced both red trhows now gone and one of our beds duvet covers had no quilt in it. Called to housekeeping at 6pmish - they said they would be right up - at 6:45pm we called again and re requested they apologized - we stated we would be going to dinner now and would return around 9pm and would appreciate if the quilt was in the duvet cover and glasses and throws replaced - they stated it would not be a problem.
Okay we return around 945pm to find NO GLASSES REPLACED, 2 RED THROWS THROWN ONTO A CHAIR AND OUR QUILT FOLDED AND LYING ON OUR BED! Okay yes I can put a quilt into a duvet cover but wait this is a 5 star hotel - so again call housekeeping and they state "Can't you even make your own bed - you have the blankest in your rm" feeling VERY ANGRY I stated yes I can But isn't this a 5 star hotel? They said "yes" Well I would get better service at a Motel 6! and hung up.
DH then called and spoke to the night mamanger - he was not happy and the head of housekeeping for the evening was at our door within 5 minutes. She was apologetic(by this time we had put our quilt into the duvet cover) She began to help us spread out the throws when we noticed stains crusted on both of them - she immediately took them away and told us she had no more tonight but tomorrow we would have STAR service. Okay I'm tired kids tired Dh tired - we go to bed next day out ALL DAY form 9am - 830pm - return to rm beds not turned down (no Biggy) no red throws and and again glasses and cups not replaced! At this point I am thinking 5 star my @$$!
Again call to just have cups replaced - they say okay - NEVER RECIEVED! Next morning as we were leaving expressed our feelingd to the manager - who was nice but felt these things happen and then gave us 4 breakfast coupons that as he put it "are open eneded and can be used any time"
Not very happy with this stay at the PBH - might consider RPR for our Feb 08 trip?
