My teenage girls love Pottery Barn Teen stuff. Expensive tastes
I usually just place my order online, but I had to call today since I had a coupon code that could not be applied to online orders.
Quite an eye opening experience.
I had gone online to get item numbers since that's quicker for me, but luckily I had a catalog handy when I placed my order too.
Did you know they have different prices for the exact same thing depending on what item number you use?
Just one example, the price for a sheet set with the online item number was $20 more than with my catalog item number. Good thing I had double checked the catalog and was paying attention when she confirmed the price.
The gal that took my order was really good about switching to the lower price for me once I gave her the correct item #, but I have to wonder if there might have been an even lower price available that I didn't know about.
Makes me crazy to think about.
My advice: be sure to check both places for prices before you order.
I had heard about companies sending out catalogs with different price points to different customers, but this was the first time I ever experienced anything like that firsthand.
I'm curious if anyone else has run into the same kind of thing, if so, what companies?
